Blackpool Zoo Accessibility
Blackpool Zoo prides itself on being fully accessible to visitors with disabilities - all areas within the grounds and buildings are available to those in wheelchairs, with many of the enclosures now having low level viewing windows.
Disabled toilets There are 3 accessible toilets - Main entrance, south west gate and main cafe, and a private medical room can be accessed by those requiring more personal attention.
Wheelchairs are available from Reception free of charge, although identification will be required along with a refundable £10 deposit. Motorised wheelchairs can be pre-booked and delivered to the Zoo, at busy times of year, it is advisable to pre-book wheelchairs on 01253 830801.
"Talking tours" can be pre-booked for visitors with visual difficulties, as can signing tours for the deaf. However, these MUST be booked at least one week prior to the visit.
We are presently arranging provision of kennels for guide / hearing dogs as these cannot be taken into the park. However, in the meantime, assistance dogs are most welcome to stay with the office staff.
