Blackpool Carers Centre

Blackpool Carers Centre is a UK registered charity, providing a range of services to support and enhance the lives of carers of all ages across Blackpool. The Centre is a member of The Princess Royal Trust For Carers Network which was created on the initiative of HRH The Princess Royal in 1991. The network consists of 144 independantly managed Carers Centres and 85 young carers' services.
What do we do for Adult Carers?
We provide information and support to individual carers over the telephone, in person at the Centre, and when appropriate in the carer's home. We have a range of support groups for current and former carers where they can meet other carers and share their experiences.
We organise social events for carers where they can enjoy a break from their caring role and also develop outside interests. We also provide pamper sessions where the carer can relax and unwind. We provide one to one counselling at the Centre for those carers who request it.
What do we do for Young Carers?
We provide help, support, advice, information and understanding of the issues facing young carers. We organise various activities to give young carers a break from their caring role and provide opportunities to meet other young carers.
We speak on behalf of young carers, and somethimes help them access grants to fund opportunities which may be otherwise difficult to afford.
